Trip to Rockport
We went to Rockport for a few days last week. Dagan really loved the pool. I had the opportunity to endulge my love of shrimp more than once. The Big Fisherman's Restaurant is a great place to eat. I had fried shrimp and a mango margarita. It was a heavenly combination. I really wanted to take a nap after that, but Dagan had slept through lunch, so no nap for Mommy. We also ate at Charlotte Plummers across from the hotel we stayed at, The Inn at Fulton Harbor. It was also Mark and Dagan's first time to a beach.

Happy Birthday to me!
Today is my 31st birthday. It is really just another day to everyone else. The girls at the office are taking me out for lunch today and Mark is taking me out for seafood tomorrow night. I'm looking forward to a day off next week. Mark and I are taking Dagan for Easter pictures on Friday. I hope he behaves.

Super Bowl Sunday
We attended a Super Bowl party at my sister's house yesterday afternoon. My brother-in-law made brisket, sausage and ribs. We also had the ever important sides, potatoes, beans and broccoli with rice. Yummy! For dessert we had some angel food cupcakes that my niece "made". My sister was blending the drinks and man, were they good! The kids had fun together.
We stayed at her house until half-time then went home and watched the game to the end. I was rooting for the Cardinals, and for a minute there, they almost had it. What a finish. One of the best games I've ever watched.

At least it wasn't our fault!
Our brand new truck is back at the dealership. Last Friday, Mark was trying to come for lunch when the key locked into position. We tried everything we could think of, then called the dealership. The guy in maintenance told him to turn the tires, but that didn't work. So the tow truck came from Gonzales to haul the truck back to Luling. Needless to say, Mark was pissed. I think they have to replace the part where the key goes in. God only know how long that should take. And the dealership still hasn't sent us our plates. Wait until Mark gets to talk to the guy who sold us the truck. It won't be pretty.
